As part of the administration’s ongoing commitment to paying tax refunds, the Governor’s fiscal policy team has confirmed that $12 million in tax refund checks will be mailed out by the end of the week.
“We are beginning the holiday season, so I’m happy that my fiscal policy team continues to prioritize the payment of tax refunds,” Governor Calvo said. “Our administration is committed to making these payments, and we will continue to find ways to cut spending, so we can pay refunds.”
The payments will cover tax year 2011 and prior. The Calvo Tenorio administration has already made more than $133 million in refund payments since the start of calendar year 2012.
