The U.S. Geological Survey has downgraded today’s earthquake to magnitude 6.7. This reconciliation of information happens with every reported earthquake, and is a normal occurrence with earthquake events. The earthquake was recorded nearly 28 miles northwest of Piti and at a depth of 84.9 miles, according to USGS.
The JIC is still requesting the public to report any damage or debris. Please call the JIC at 478-0208. Call 911 in the case of an emergency.
