I Hinanao-ta Nu I Manaotao Tåno I CHamoru-Siha
(The Journey of the CHamoru People)
Now open to the public, the Guam Museum proudly presents the I Hinanao-ta Nu I Manaotao Tåno I CHamoru-Siha (The Journey of the CHamoru People), an exhibition which chronicles the 3,500-year history of the CHamoru people in Guam from the earliest settlement of the Mariana islands to the present. The exhibition features over 250 historic artifacts from the museum’s collections, and a wealth of information for history and cultural enthusiasts. Each panel in the exhibition is translated into the CHamoru language, providing the first full telling of our island’s history in the native tongue. Come along the journey and immerse yourself in the beauty and rich history of the island and see the resilience of the CHamoru people as they navigate through a profoundly changing world.
