Hagåtña, Guam – The Leon Guerrero-Tenorio Administration is inviting the community to learn more about the programs and activities funded through the Governor’s Youth Empowerment and Education Assistance Grant Program at an exhibition to be held this Saturday, October 8, 2022 at the Guam Premier Outlets (GPO) center court in Tamuning from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

“Our Administration launched this program to enhance and expand youth engagement opportunities for Guam’s public, private, and charter school students,” said Governor Lou Leon Guerrero. “We maximized $36.9 million in Education Stabilization Funds awarded through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act to build up our island’s community learning resources and empower our young people to achieve their full potential. Please join us to learn about all the ways our investments are enriching the lives of our children.”

“We’ve approved over 70 projects through this program to date, which is due in no small part to the diligence and dedication of the Guam State Clearinghouse,” said Lt. Governor Josh Tenorio. “From educational institutions and government entities to community organizations and non-profit organizations, this program has helped to address our students’ learning recovery and improve their social and emotional well-being. We stand committed to strengthening our comprehensive investments in child care and fostering a more prosperous future for all.”
