On the passing of former Mayor Ignacio ‘Buck’ Cruz, Governor Eddie Baza Calvo has proclaimed a state of mourning for the island of Guam. The former Mayor passed away on November 1, 2017. Flags will be flown at half staff until the day of his interment.
“We are deeply saddened by Mayor Buck Cruz’s passing. He was a true patriot of our island and our condolences and prayers go out to the family,” Governor Calvo stated.
“We ask the people of Guam to join the Governor, First Lady Christine, my wife Madoka and I, as we pray for the Cruz family during this difficult time,” Lt. Governor Ray Tenorio added.
