Governor Eddie Baza Calvo and Lt. Governor Ray Tenorio expressed their deepest condolences to the Paulino family, and invite the island community to pray that they find peace in this time of mourning.

“I remember when I appointed Commissioner Paulino as the grand marshal for the 70th Liberation of Guam back in 2014. The theme was ‘Generations of Service and Sacrifice,’ which I felt was personified by Commissioner Paulino. He was a survivor of the Japanese occupation, and a symbol of strength for the people of Guam. May he rest in peace, and may God bless the Paulino family during this difficult time,” said Governor Eddie Baza Calvo.

“Mr. Paulino was an inspiration to all of us. He was a true leader of this community and a great man we all can learn from. I am saddened by his loss, and my prayers remain with the Paulino family,” said Lt. Governor Ray Tenorio.

The Governor has order flags be lowered to half staff in observation of former Commissioner Paulino’s passing.
