VIDEO GAMES NOW AVAILABLE AT YOUR PUBLIC LIBRARY
The Guam Public Library System is pleased to announce a new library service offered to make your Public Library more enticing to all, especially our island’s adolescence age group. This library service will expose patrons to all of the other services the Library has to offer and will also encourage them to visit the Library to develop their love of books and reading.
PS-4 and X-box 360 game consoles with educational games are now available for use at the Hagåtña Public Library and the five (5) branch locations located in Merizo, Agat, Yona,
Barrigada and Dededo. Funding for the new Gaming Consoles was provided through the
Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) 2016 Competitive Grant which the Library
applied for and was approved in July 2016.
GPLS continues providing informative learning opportunities through a variety of ways. Games are just as much of an educational tool as reading a book.
