Governor Eddie Calvo and Lt. Governor Ray Tenorio continued their annual tradition of welcoming students and teachers to new school year.
“I wish all our students continued growth and opportunity this school year. I also want to thank all our parents, teachers, and school staff on yet another year of mentorship to our island’s future leaders. Thank you for all that you do!” said Governor Eddie Baza Calvo.
“I have the greatest confidence in our students. I wish them only the very best this new school year as they move forward in their journey towards success,” added Lt. Governor Ray Tenorio. “Have a blessed and wonderful school year.”
Governor Calvo and Lt. Governor Tenorio also remind the community to keep road safety in mind, including:
- Please use extra caution when traveling near schools
- Please be mindful of all surroundings

- Please ensure your speed remains at 15mph in school zones
- Please use crosswalks, and remember to look both ways when crossing the road
- Please be reminded that texting and driving is illegal
