39,000 Early Filers for Tax Year 2021 Paid To Date
Hagåtña, Guam – On June 3, 2022, the Department of Revenue & Taxation processed and the Department of Administration mailed checks, or paid by direct deposit, approximately 1,373 Tax Year 2021 and prior income tax refunds totaling $4,232,803.87 for error-free returns filed on, or before April 11, 2022.
Tax refunds paid to date reached an unprecedented high of $144 million, of which another first was achieved with over $119 million (or 83%) paid to about 39,000 early filers to date. Over the past eleven (11) weeks since the first batch of TY 2021 refund payments were paid, more than 90% were paid to TY 2021 filers–all the direct result of consistent weekly payments and a steady 6 to 8-week turnaround time.
NOTE: Individuals receiving payment by direct deposit will see a $0 transaction in their bank account prior to receiving their refunds ( -note).
