“We made the fiscal well-being of this island a top priority. The GovGuam family has worked and sacrificed hard to get to where we are today, and next week we’ll be releasing more tax refunds. We still have a long way to go, but look where we’re at now: we’ve continued to pay out tax refunds in a timely manner, and we’re still maintaining the fiscal policies that got us here. Paying out tax refunds will always be a top priority for this administration.” — Governor Eddie Baza Calvo

Error-Free Tax Refunds Filed in March to be Mailed
Governor Calvo ordered $22M in tax refunds to be mailed out to Status-A filers. This batch of tax refunds will cover error-free tax refunds on or before March 10 this year. The checks will be printed by the Department of Revenue and Taxation and processed by the Department of Administration. The checks should be delivered to the post office on or before Monday.
There are other claims for refunds filed in January, February, March and April that have errors and will not become Status-A refunds until the errors are fixed.
Continuing to Pay Out Tax Refunds
The government is continuing to pay out tax refunds well within legal timeframes. Since October 1, 2012, over $70M in tax refunds have been paid out to error-free tax filings. With these additional refunds being released, $92M in tax refunds will have been paid out.
