Calvo, Tenorio Visit Corrections and Customs Officers
Press Update: January 31, 2011
(Adelup, Guam) Governor Eddie Baza Calvo and Lt. Governor Ray Tenorio continued their tour of local agencies Friday, first visiting the Department of Corrections. Discussions centered on creative ways to save and share resources with other Gov Guam agencies.
The Governor and Lt. Governor also spoke with employees of the Customs and Quarantine Agency at the airport. The Customs agents are currently working with Matson and Horizon to implement Customs pre-clearance, a plan from Blueprint 2020.
“Ray and I are very proud of the Gov Guam family,” Governor Calvo said. “We appreciate the time the Corrections and Customs offices spent with us. We want to know what the problems are so we can work together to fix them in the agencies.”
