Forums to Put Guam First Continue May 21

Governor Eddie Baza Calvo and Lt. Governor Ray Tenorio invite the public to the second Community Forum to Put Guam First on Saturday, May 21.
The series gathers public input on the Guam government’s dealings with the federal government. These include all matters ranging from the military buildup to longstanding federal-territorial issues, such as war reparations. This next forum will be about Compact-Impact reimbursements.
All senators, mayors, other elected officials, Chamorro rights groups, business organizations, U.S. servicemen and women, veterans, and other associations are encouraged to attend. Everyone is welcome to express their views and listen to others.
Similar to the previous event, island leaders will begin discussion, then the floor will be opened up for public input.
“Our first forum was such a success. Guam’s people want to express their thoughts on these longstanding issues, and we want to hear them,” Governor Calvo said. “Team Guam must represent all viewpoints out there. That’s why I’m inviting everyone to come out, and speak out.”
The forum is scheduled for Saturday, May 21, between 1 to 3 p.m. in the Cabinet Conference Room, Bordallo Governor’s Complex.
