Hagåtña, Guam – The Office of the Governor on Friday sent a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to Senator Therese Terlaje requesting any letters, emails, or communications with any private company or private individual regarding a public-private partnership with the Guam Memorial Hospital (GMH) that she has proposed in a piece of legislation that she has introduced.
“The people of Guam deserve to know if there have been any discussions or negotiations between Senator Terlaje and any private entities regarding her proposed public-private partnership with GMH,” said Governor Lou Leon Guerrero. “This FOIA request is simply an attempt to shed light on this issue and ensure that all relevant information is made available to the public.”
The Governor’s FOIA request asks for all communications between Senator Terlaje and any private company or individual regarding the proposed public-private partnership with GMH, including but not limited to letters, emails, text messages, and phone records.
“We are confident that Senator Terlaje will comply with this FOIA request and provide us with the information we have requested,” said Governor Leon Guerrero. “Transparency is essential to good governance, and the people of Guam deserve to know all the facts about this proposed public-private partnership.”
