Application Period Opens on June 1; Program Launches on June 20

Hagåtña, Guam – The Leon Guerrero-Tenorio Administration announces the return of the Governor’s Summer Youth Employment Program (GSYEP) beginning on June 20, 2022. Interested applicants may obtain application forms beginning on June 1, 2022, at the Department of Youth Affairs’ website dya.guam.gov and at the DYA Kåttan Youth Center in Mangilao. Applicants must be between the ages of 14 to 17, a resident of Guam, and capable of completing 30-hour workweeks.

“As we work on recovering from the pandemic, the young people of Guam are assuming a critical role in the foundation of our prosperity, with this program serving as their springboards into public service,” said Governor Lou Leon Guerrero. “We encourage youth interested in education, tourism, and other areas of government to apply today and join us in rewarding public service while earning compensation.”

“This is a valuable opportunity for our island’s young people to participate directly in their government and explore the potential of their future,” said Lt. Governor Josh Tenorio. “Our Administration is committed to empowering our youth and providing them with the stepping stones to succeed through gainful employment.”
