Hagåtña, Guam – Over 250 job seekers participated in Saturday’s job fair hosted by the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) in partnership with the Guam Department of Labor (GDOL). The Department of Administration (DOA) and DPHSS are now reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and progressing through hiring.

“Beyond providing gainful employment for our people, these positions are critical to continuing our COVID-19 response and recovery efforts. We look forward to filling the 70 grant-funded positions available and also to expanding our pool of local talent so we can support future hiring initiatives,” said Governor Lou Leon Guerrero. “This fair provided an outlet of opportunity to lend our families a steady hand up. When we invest in our people this way, we are laying the groundwork for the growth of our economy and the good of our island.”

GDOL will continue to support job recovery efforts to reduce unemployment and grow the local workforce. The agency is also assisting applicants who may not have their diploma, GED, or work experience and will assist with resources to prepare them to be job-ready.
