If you live in or travel through Merizo, you’ve probably wondered when the government would ever fix Bile & Pigua bridges. These are the two short bridges, where traffic has been reduced to one lane for years before Gov. Calvo took office.
Gov. Calvo promised the people of Merizo and the south that he would fix these bridges. Yesterday that promise began to become reality. After two years of negotiations dealing with private property and going through procurement, the Governor yesterday signed the contract for construction of the bridges to begin in July.
