Happy New Year Guam!
From
Governor Eddie Baza Calvo
Lt. Governor Ray Tenorio

Governor

It’s been an eventful year, my fellow Guamanians. Like so many others throughout the world, we’ve faced our share of challenges. But I think that 2011 once again has proven that we are a very resilient people.

Lt. Governor

This is a community that works hard every day, adapting to change and making the best of what we have. This past year has made us even more proud to serve Guam, to work for passionate people willing to stand up for one another and fight for what’s right.

Governor

We’ve begun an aggressive agenda for change led by a government that says what it means, means what is says and makes good on its promises to the people. We’ve gone out into the community, we’ve spoken with the families who are struggling every day.
We’ve put years of overdue tax refunds back into your pockets when some said we shouldn’t and achieved the highest credit rating in our island’s history when others believed we couldn’t and we’re working hard every day to reorganize this government so that it’s accountable, responsive and responsible.

Lt. Governor

Let’s take it to the next level in 2012.†Let’s work harder, knowing that we can achieve anything.  Let’s look out for one another and make this community safer and stronger than it’s ever been. Let’s stand by one another to turn every adversity into accomplishment. We’ve done so much this year and Governor Calvo and I are ready to keep the momentum going.

Governor

Every day is another opportunity for us to define who we are as Guamanians and Lt. Governor Tenorio and I have never been more inspired to fight for change and pursue every promise to make Guam better for us and for generations of Guamanians to come.

Lt. Governor

Serving you has been an honor; every opportunity to make your lives better has been a privilege and a gift.  And we’re excited to start a new year with each and every one of you.

Governor

Happy New Year my fellow Guamanians!  Have a safe and joyous New Year celebration and may God’s blessings of good fortune, good health and prosperity be with you and your families throughout 2012.
