First Lady, Hair Stylists Team Up for Japan Relief
Calvo Invites Island to ‘Cuts for a Cause’
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 26, 2011
Island residents will be able to get their hair cut by some of Guam’s most talented professionals and help the people of Japan at the same time.  Tomorrow, government-wide relief efforts, led by First Lady Christine Calvo continue with “Cuts for a Cause.”  The event will host the island’s top hair stylists at the Guam Premier Outlets, where people can get their hair cut in exchange for a donation to the American Red Cross.
“Japan still needs our help, and I’m so happy people are still willing to assist in the relief efforts,” First Lady Calvo said.  “I want to thank all of the hair stylists and barbers who agreed to participate.  We have the best people here, so I’m excited for everyone who does come out tomorrow.”
“Cuts for a Cause” will take place from 10 am to 4 pm on Sunday.  All proceeds will go toward the American Red Cross Japan Relief Effort.
