Hagåtña, Guam – The Leon Guerrero-Tenorio Administration in coordination with the Department of CHamoru Affairs and the Mayor’s Council of Guam is proud to announce the Liberation Festival being held at the CHamoru Village from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on July 11 to 15, 2022 and July 18 to 20, 2022. The festival will feature concession stands, merchant and novelty vendors, game booths, amusement rides, and food stalls, in addition to musical entertainment and cultural dance performances at the main pavilion daily from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

“This year, due in no small part to our community’s patience and persistence, and the efforts of our frontliners, we are pleased to invite everyone to a new tradition featuring many of the Liberation Day festivities we have come to look forward to each year,” said Governor Lou Leon Guerrero. “The pandemic hindered our ability to participate in customary Liberation Day events and activities for the past two years. Together, we will commemorate this important day in Guam’s history and truly celebrate the essence of liberation as we work toward recovery.”

“After two long years of rising to meet the challenges before us, let’s take some time to celebrate and live in the spirit of Liberation,” said Lt. Governor Josh Tenorio. “We have many events lined up to safely ring in the return of Liberation Day festivities, and we encourage families to take full advantage of these opportunities to make memories and enjoy quality time with loved ones.”
