Vega and Ada take posts at Mental Health

Governor Calvo this morning appointed Rey Vega to serve as the director of Mental Health and Substance Abuse. Peter Alexcis Ada will begin work next week as deputy director.
“We worked hard to get to where we are today at the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse,” Governor Calvo said. “I know Rey and Pete will help the DMHSA family bring the agency to new heights.”
These appointments follow the following appointments:
–       Lorilee Crisostomo as the director of the Bureau of Statistics and Plans to fill the vacancy left by Senator Tommy Morrison
–       Pete Calvo as the director of the Guam Energy Office to fill the vacancy left by Crisostomo.
–       Ray Blas, Sr. as the director of Parks and Recreation to fill the vacancy left by Calvo
–       Carl Dominguez as the director of Public Works to fill the vacancy left by Joanne Brown
–       Jay Rojas as the deputy director of Public Works to fill the vacancy left by Dominguez
–       Mike Duenas as the executive director of the Guam Housing and Urban Renewal Authority
–       Colonel Maurice Sayama automatically filled the position of Police Commander at the Guam Police Department upon his assumption of rank
Chief John Wusstig is serving as acting Fire Chief while Fire Chief Joey San Nicolas is on deployment.
