FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
December 18, 2012
Joann Camacho, Guam Visitors Bureau General Manager, and former First Lady, is returning to the private sector after years of invaluable public service. Camacho most recently led the Guam Visitors Bureau to anticipated tourism arrival numbers for 2012 not seen since the mid-1990’s. She will be dearly missed.
“While we are sad to see Joann go, we certainly thank her for her wonderful service to the people of Guam,” said Governor Eddie Baza Calvo. “Her contributions as a former First Lady and as GVB’s GM are invaluable.  You can see the results in our tourist arrival numbers.
“We hope Joann will continue her long career in public service in a different capacity in the Calvo Tenorio administration with her extensive experience and passion to serve the community. We wish Joann all the best in this new chapter.”
