After 30 years of service to the people of Guam, Alberto “Tony” Lamorena is retiring. Peter Calvo has been named as the interim executive director at the Civil Service Commission.
 
“Tony has been a big part of this government and most recently of the Civil Service Commission,” said Governor Eddie Baza Calvo. “He was a great fit for the Commission having served as an elected official, including his terms as Senator in the 23rd, 24th, and 25th Legislatures, as well as other positions. I wish him the very best as he moves on to his new adventures in life. I know Pete is up to the challenge and I thank him for stepping up.”
 
The Governor reached out to Peter Calvo who also brings many years of experience to CSC, with nearly 30 years in the government. Calvo has served as Vice Mayor of Tamuning/Tumon, as well as director of AHRD and Department of Parks and Recreation, among others.
