FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
January 23, 2012
A generous donation from Calvo’s Insurance is helping care packages reach Guam’s soldiers through the Office of the Lieutenant Governor Ray Tenorio’s Project Minagof. The check, totaling $1,500, will cover the cost of shipping for the care packages to deployed Guam service members in the Army Reserve and National Guard, which is part of the Guam Seal Project.
“The main goal of Project Minagof is to bring a little bit of home to the servicemen and women currently protecting us overseas. We wanted to let them know we’re thinking of them and truly appreciate all they do,” Lieutenant Governor Ray Tenorio stated. “It is programs like these that provide and encourage morale amongst our local brothers and sisters serving away from home, protecting our freedom and I thank Calvo’s Insurance for helping to make this happen.”
The care packages include various items from Archway, Inc., Calvo’s Insurance, Dickerson & Quinn International Distributers, Guam Visitors Bureau, Luen Fung Enterprises, Lucky Supplies, Market Wholesale Distributors, Inc., National Office Supply, Sunny Wholesale, Tropical Productions, Inc., and Zories Only Greeting Cards and was made possible with the help of Copy Xpress Photo. Also included is a rubbing of the Guam Seal, which was made with the help of the Guam Girl Scouts.
