The Guam Hotel and Restaurant Association, the Guam Visitors Bureau and United Continental Airlines are teaming up as lead sponsors of the 9th Annual Governor’s Tourism Cup Golf Tournament.  Proceeds from the annual tournament, which raised more than $260,000, will go toward supporting Guam’s public safety and law enforcement agencies.

“This is the kind of partnership that makes this community stronger,” Acting Governor Ray Tenorio said.  “GHRA and United Continental Airlines have always supported Guam’s growth.  I’m excited to work with them and all the sponsors of this year’s tournament to give our public safety officials the additional resources they need to keep residents and visitors safe.”
Tee time for the tournament will be at 12:30pm, Saturday, November 19, 2011.  You can choose to play in the two day Medal Play Tournament, November 19 & 20 in one of the flights ranging from Championship to seniors and Ladies or choose to play in the Saturday Modified Calloway Tournament or the Sunday 2 Man Best Ball Tournament.

The success of the tournament has made it possible to raise funds to support the public safety programs within the Guam Police Department, the Guam Fire Department, and Department of Parks & Recreation as well as other organizations that improve the tourism industry.  Proceeds from this year’s event will go to the Guam Fire Department and the Guam Police Department.
