Hagåtña, Guam – Governor Lou Leon Guerrero and Lt. Governor Josh Tenorio issued the following statements on the passing of Senator Benigno Palomo:
“We join the Island of Guam in mourning the passing of Senator Benigno Palomo who served our island during transformative times and strengthened our utility foundations as a committed commission member,” said Governor Leon Guerrero. “On behalf of our island, we extend our
heartfelt gratitude for his life of service and extend our sincere condolences to his family and loved ones.” “The late Senator Palomo was a voice of his generation, and dedicated many years towards expanding and modernizing our island’s infrastructure as a public works director and utilities commissioner,” said Lt. Governor Tenorio. “Not unlike those building prosperity today, he also was an admired leader who improved the efficiency and financial health of several agencies. His legacy of service inspires us still, and he will be dearly missed.”
