Immediate Release: February 14, 2011
Lieutenant Governor Ray Tenorio was inducted today as an honorary Rotarian at the Rotary Club of Northern Guam’s weekly meeting at Hyatt Regency Guam. “We are very honored to have Lieutenant Governor Ray Tenorio as an honorary member of the Rotary Club of Northern Guam. I’ve known him for a long time and he undoubtedly represents the characteristics of a true Rotarian –leadership and community service,” said current President Craig Wade.
Rotary is an internationally renowned community service organization with thousands of members around the world who work to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto “Service Above Self,” according to the official Rotary website.
“Rotary Club has done so many things for our island. Their members come from all walks of life – from business to government – with a common goal of community service and building partnerships,” said Lt. Governor Tenorio. “I’m truly honored to serve as an honorary Rotarian and I hope that I can set the example by being a proponent for beautification on our island.” Tenorio is currently promoting the Islandwide Beautification Task Force with a mission to take cleanup efforts to the next level.
