This morning, Mayor Melissa Savares updated us that residents throughout her village were out clearing their yards of debris. She recorded this short video, where she gives you tips on how to prepare for the typhoon. She also gives out phone numbers and other information if you need help. Mayor June Blas also gave us a positive update. She and her staff were out in the village and noticed many residents cleaning their yards. In this video she recorded, the Mayor asks her residents to prepare, especially those who live in flood-prone areas like the intersection of Routes 8, 10, and 16, Leyang, and the Toto-Canada road. The Mayor and her staff also will be working around the clock. The Mayor’s Office will be open to take calls.
