Hagåtña, Guam – Due to a break in a water line within the DNA Building in Hagåtña, the Guam Fire Department’s (GFD) Headquarters Administration Offices, the Life Quest Billing Office, and the Office of the Department of Integrated Services for Individuals with Disabilities (DISID) will be closed effective 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 5.
Fire Chief Daniel Stone states, “We regret any inconvenience to the public this temporary closure may cause; however, due to hygiene and sanitation reasons, our non-uniformed employees will be dismissed for the remainder of the day.”
DISID has been in contact with its clients to inform them of the closure and is also coordinating with clients to reschedule appointments.
“We apologize for any inconvenience to the community but want to assure our clients that we will continue to work with them as soon as we are able to reopen our offices,” added DISID Director Phyliss Leon Guerrero.
The management of the DNA building is currently conducting assessments and making repairs to the damaged line. Repairs are expected to be completed before the start of business tomorrow.
During this closure, GFD emergency operations will not be hampered and residents will continue to receive fire and medical services. Payments for LifeQuest billing can still be made at the Bank of Guam or online as per the instructions located on billing statements.
