Hagåtña, Guam – Governor Lou Leon Guerrero has appointed Michelle C. Razo Lastimoza to serve as the new Deputy Administrator of the Guam Environmental Protection Agency (GEPA).

Razo Lastimoza currently serves as an Environmental Health Specialist III at GEPA, and more specifically as the Acting Division Head for Green Parcels (Brownfield) Program/Hazardous Materials Emergency Preparedness Program/Defense and State Memorandum of Agreement Program. Her appointment takes effect Monday, November 25, 2019.

I was very impressed with Michelle’s more than 24 years of environmental and public health management experience. After meeting with her and learning more about her countless accomplishments in the public and private sectors, as well as in the military, it is clear to me that she is passionate about protecting the environment,” said Governor Lou Leon Guerrero. “I am certain that she is the perfect person for this position.”

I look forward to working with Administrator Walter Leon Guerrero, and all my colleagues at GEPA as we continue to ensure the environmental protection of our island and our people,” Razo Lastimoza said.

Razo Lastimoza graduated with a B.A. in Biology from the University of Guam and has held environmental- and health-related positions at GEPA and Department of Public Health and Social Services. She also worked as an environmental engineer for DZSP 21, LLC.
