Hagåtña, Guam – The Leon Guerrero-Tenorio Administration announces job training and employment opportunities for residents of Guam with the ongoing recruitment of applicants for Bus Driver Boot Camp III. The deadline to apply is Friday, October 21, 2022. Participants will undergo paid training for up to 480 hours to earn certification in bus driving, a chauffeur’s license, and a commercial driver’s license. Graduates will be offered job opportunities with the Guam Regional Transit Authority (GRTA) or the Department of Public Works (DPW).

“This third installment of the Bus Driver Boot Camp builds on our continued commitment to providing the people of Guam with accessible job training and gainful employment opportunities,” said Governor Lou Leon Guerrero. “Graduates will become our island’s future school bus drivers and mass transit drivers, and contribute to a strengthening economy that is better serving our schoolchildren, our workforce, and all who rely on public transportation.”

“Right now, our Administration is in the process of expanding DPW fleet operations and filling vacancies at GRTA to ensure that every bus and mode of transportation has a driver behind the wheel,” said Lt. Governor Josh Tenorio. “The Bus Driver Boot Camp is currently training its second cohort and upskilling GRTA drivers with expanded certifications to ensure that our employees are up-to-date with the latest safety and customer service standards. We encourage all those looking for meaningful employment and a rewarding experience to apply today!”
