First Lady Delivers Speech During Tribute
“At home, we hold our manamko’ — our elders — with the greatest respect.  They survived a war, they rebuilt the home we know today, and they instilled in us a deep sense of patriotism, respect and appreciation,” First Lady Calvo said during a reception at the Cannon House Office Building in Washington, D.C.  “Let us never forget that our right to pursue our dreams and celebrate with one another at events just like this are gifts…  Given to us by brave men and women willing to lay down their lives for liberty, justice and the pursuit of happiness for all.”

First Lady Calvo returns home this evening.
