November 15, 2017 (Hagåtña) –Lt. Governor Ray Tenorio and the Islandwide Beautification Task Force (IBTF) kicked off a new project earlier this year called the IBTF Scenic Route. This new project is a collaborative effort between the Lieutenant Governor’s Office, the Guam Visitor’s Bureau (GVB), the Department of Corrections (DOC), Department of Public Works (DPW), Pepsi General Manager Jon Denight, the Department of Agriculture, The Works! Foundation, as well as other parters and contributors. The project is aimed at revealing Guam’s hidden views and spectacular vistas that are currently covered by overgrown vegetation and brush.
The Lieutenant Governor, IBTF, DOC, and Piti Mayor’s Office will be unveiling this newest Scenic Route site in Nimitz Hill, Piti tomorrow November 16, 2017 at 9:00amjust, down the hill from the K Stereo station. The newly cleared site offers amazing views of the Piti mountain side and the port as you drive down Route 6 towards the Veterans Cemetary.
