Media Advisory: Ancient Order of Chamorri
Hagåtña, Guam – The Leon Guerrero-Tenorio Administration will posthumously bestow the
Ancient Order of Chamorri Award to the late Jon A. Anderson. The award will be presented to
Anderson’s family at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, February 18, 2019, in the Cabinet (large) Conference
Room at the Ricardo J. Bordallo Governor’s Complex, Adelup.
Anderson is a local media icon. He passed away on February 1, 2019, at the age of 76.
The award is the highest civilian honor that can be bestowed on a non-native resident of Guam.
