Dec. 24, 2016, (Hagåtña) — The Governor has pardoned two people, both of whom were convicted of a crime more than a decade ago. “These folks have long since paid their debt to society and they have been working, contributing to the community and following Guam’s laws for years now,” Governor Calvo stated. “I wish them luck in the future. I encourage them to continue their hard work and efforts to excel and improve their lives as well as the lives of their families and others around them.” The two individuals had gone before the Guam Pardon Review Board. They were favorably recommended to the Governor for pardons.
