Hagåtña – With a $30 million dollar reduction for the Government of Guam whilst simultaneously exercising austerity, the Executive Branch has begun to restore some of its initial efforts that were made in an attempt to shrink operational expenses.
The Governor’s office is now working with the Department of Parks and Recreations on re-opening the entirety of the Paseo Stadium and the Dededo pool once renovations have been completed. We’re confident that most, if not all will be restored by the end of April.
The Hagåtña Pool will resume its normal operational hours beginning this Friday – April 6, 2018:
• Tuesday – Friday from 6:00am-8:00pm,
• Saturday & Sunday from 9:00am-6:00pm
• Monday – CLOSED for regular maintenance (Pool and Ground)
The Dededo Sports Complex will continue its current operations with no changes.
“With a plan in place and fiscal responsibility being exercised by all, we are confident that the Department of Parks & Recreation can support these facilities and resume providing services we know our people have come to depend on,” Governor Eddie Calvo said.
