Rigalu Foundation, Malojloj community celebrate new bus stop

The Malojloj community celebrated the installation of a new bus shelter today.

The Malojloj bus stop is the 12th shelter added to the island through “The Bus Stops Here” initiative and was made possible with the help of Coast 360 Federal Credit Union.

Headed by First Lady Christine Calvo, the new bus shelter is part of the Rigalu Foundation’s “The Bus Stops Here” initiative, which partners with local businesses and organizations to build permanent bus stops throughout the island.

“We want to ensure our children are safe,” First Lady Christine Calvo said. “This is one of the more than 100 bus stops that we are going to be building and we’re a step closer to achieving this goal.”

Inarajan Mayor Doris Lujan thanked the Rigalu Foundation for their tireless efforts to promote safety and Coast 360. The credit union donated $23,000 for the Maloloj bus shelter and another shelter in Yigo.
