Former Hagatna Mayor was a great man, leader, father
Flags are being flown at half staff in honor of the life and achievements of former Hagåtña Mayor Felix F. Ungacta. His family announced the passing of their beloved patriarch.
Governor Calvo and Lt. Governor Ray Tenorio are calling on the community to pray for the Ungacta family. Ungacta was one of our island’s longest serving mayors, having served from 1981 to 2005. He and his wife Evelyn Duenas Ungacta had four children, Felix Flores Ungacta Jr., Engracia Ungacta Bone, Noel Duenas Ungacta, Jonah Duenas Ungacta.
“Our condolences to Evelyn and the rest of the family,” Governor Calvo stated. “It’s with sadness in our hearts that we say goodbye to this great man who dedicated so much of his life to our community.”
Lt. Governor Ray Tenorio stated: “Our island mourns the loss of a great public public servant who gave over two decades of his life to his island. Our prayers go out to Evelyn and the family.”
