August 24, 2017 (Hagåtña) — Today, the MANDANA Drug Task Force made arrests as part of an ongoing effort to eliminate drugs from our island. The Governor and Lt. Governor responded:
“I applaud the efforts of the officers serving in the joint MANDANA Drug Task Force. The work they have done for our island is invaluable. I ask the community to please support their work,” Governor Calvo stated. “I also want to recognize the hard work of many of our GovGuam employees who abide by the laws of Guam and are dedicated to making our island a better place.”
“Illegal drugs are stealing the lives of too many of our people,” said Lt. Governor Ray Tenorio. “The Governor and I have directed agency heads to be more aggressive and test for drugs within the government with increased frequency. We do not want these illegal drugs on our island.”
