Early Filers for Tax Year 2022 Included
Hagåtña, Guam – On February 27, 2023, the Department of Revenue & Taxation processed and the Department of Administration mailed checks, or paid by direct deposit, 3,342 Individual Tax refund payments totaling $10,438,321 for Tax Year 2022 and prior error-free returns for more returns filed on, or before, January 31, 2023.
Year-to-date: 6,630 early filers for Tax Year 2022 have been paid and comprise over 90% of this week’s payments.
Refunds continue to be paid weekly. Due to the surge in volume of returns filed daily inherent with a new tax cycle (Tax Year 2022), turnaround time will begin to fluctuate to between 3-6 WEEKS.
NOTE: Individuals receiving payment by direct deposits will see a $0 transaction in their bank account prior to receiving$ their refunds ( -note).
