Speaker Won Pat just called the Legislature’s special session to order. The Governor called senators into session at 11 a.m. today to pass a budget for Fiscal Year 2014. The budget he presented to senators include everything the Democrats wanted, but shifts $9 million in funding to help Guam Memorial Hospital.
The new budget also fixes an imbalance of $7 million from the previous proposed budget, Bill No. 177, which was vetoed because of the imbalance and the lack of adequate funding for GMH.
