Governor Signs Executive Order No. 2023-08:
Today, Governor Lou Leon Guerrero signed Executive Order No. 2023-08 relative to lifting the emergency on the public water supply shortage caused by Typhoon Mawar and orders such that:
- Public Water Supply Shortage Emergency Lifted. The second state of emergency due to the public water supply shortage as a result of Typhoon Mawar, declared in E.O. 2023-06, will be lifted effective 12:01 a.m. on June 24, 2023, at which time our community may resume the use of public water for all purposes.
Precautionary Boil Water Notice Lifted:
The Guam Waterworks Authority (GWA), in accordance with Guam Environmental Protection Agency, has lifted its Precautionary Boil Water Notice (BWN) for all areas of the GWA system, meaning areas with adequate pressure, chlorine residual levels in the water, and water sampling and analysis are clear of any contaminants.
