Hagåtña, Guam — The Office of the Governor and the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) invite the entire community to celebrate Halloween at “The Night of the Duendes” Trick-or-Treating Event on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Paseo Grounds in Hagåtña.
Families are encouraged to come out in their best costumes and enjoy an evening filled with fun and fright, island-style. The event will feature exciting activities for all ages, including a GovGuam Canopy Decorating Contest, costume contest, food vendors, games, and more.
“This is one of our favorite community gatherings because it brings together families, friends, and our government employees in a fun and creative way,” said Governor Lou Leon Guerrero. “We encourage everyone to come out, celebrate safely, and enjoy an evening that celebrates both our local spirit and Halloween traditions.”
Lt. Governor Josh Tenorio added, “Events like this are what make Guam so special–our ability to come together, have fun, and support community programs. We can’t wait to see the creativity and island pride on display.”
Organizations, agencies, and businesses interested in joining the celebration as canopy participants or activity partners are encouraged to contact the DPR Main Office at (671) 475-6288 for more information.
