Hagåtña, Guam – The Leon Guerrero-Tenorio Administration, in coordination with the Guam Economic Development Authority (GEDA) and the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS), today announced semi-finalists for the 2022 Guam Childcare Art Contest.  The Guam Childcare team received entries from elementary and middle school students across our island who submitted inspirational and creative artwork including paintings, drawings, computer-generated artwork, or coloring pages relating to the theme of Guam childcare. 

GEDA Deputy Director Carlos Bordallo, DPHSS Deputy Director Terry Aguon, CAHA Director Sandra Flores and GDOE Public Information Officer Michelle Franquez, were joined by local artists Josh Agerstrand, Kristine Bactad, Rosanna Dacanay, Austin Domingo, Tanya Kim, and Kersha Taitano as judges for the contest. The esteemed judges selected the following semi-finalists to advance to online voting with the potential to be selected for the coveted people’s choice award:

The public is encouraged to view the semi-finalists’ artwork and can vote online daily at  www.guamchildcare.com. Art submissions will be on display at the Agana Shopping Center and contest winners will be announced the week of December 19th. Winners will receive a VIP package including a night stay at Pacific Islands Club – Guam, tickets to the Super American Circus and an art lesson at Art Beat Guam.
