Calvo moves today’s meeting to next week

For immediate release, March 8, 2016

(Hagatna, Guam) Governor Calvo, Chairman of the Commission on Decolonization, is postponing today’s scheduled meeting of the Commission on Decolonization until next week Tuesday, at the same time in the Governor’s Conference Room.

The Governor wants the commission’s members to hear what Congresswoman Bordallo has to say in tonight’s state address regarding Guam’s 500-year journey to decolonize.

“I’m ready to order the start of an education campaign with or without federal resources, but I’d like to hear what Congresswoman Bordallo has to say about this first,” Governor Calvo stated.

“A Team Guam effort is critical here. If she has solutions to lend to our upcoming effort, it is worth waiting one week to incorporate any of those.”
