Hagåtña, Guam – The Leon Guerrero-Tenorio Administration together with the Department of Public Works (DPW) announces the launch of road improvements between the intersection of Route 4 and Route 10, and Chalan Kinaka Street, starting on October 13, 2022, in Chalan Pago.

“As part of the Islandwide Safety Improvements and Primary Roads Striping and Marking Project, our Administration continues to push forward highway safety improvements that will enhance our overall safety,” said Acting Governor Josh Tenorio. “It’s been nearly 15 years since stripes and raised pavement markers were placed on these roads, so we’re excited for the coming upgrades and thank everyone for their patience as we improve the driving experience for all.”

Improvements will feature milling and paving, installing raised pavement markers and guardrails, striping and spot repairs. Road construction will affect motorists traveling this road. Motorists are advised to anticipate delays due to lane shifts for southbound traffic between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Area residents are advised to drive cautiously through the construction zones, observe posted speed limit and construction signs, and carefully heed flaggers when present.
